NIEM 5.2 Release Candidate 2 is Available for Public Review and Comment

The NIEM 5.2 Release Candidate 2 (RC2) minor release is available for public review and comment. Minor releases allow for domain-related content changes only. The core and architecture remain fixed until the next major release.  Please post comments and feedback to the issue tracker by Monday, December 19, 2022.

NIEM 5.2 RC2 key changes: 

Biometrics domain

• Added biom:DNAPedigree back to type biom:DNASampleType 
• Removed biom:DNADonorVitalityCode and replaced usage in type biom:DNADonorType with existing biom:SubjectExistentialStatusCode 

Justice domain

• Updated FBI’s NCIC codes: Country, Indian nations, SMT, Trailers, TYP, VMA, VMO

Learning and Development domain

• Removed empty EmploymentAssociationAugmentation element and type
